In situ installation in a beach cabin, Le Havre beach

Residency at the invitation of the artist Simon Le Cieux

Inhabiting a beach cabin for a week. Making it a place of experimentation and
creation, somewhere between a film set, a stage and an installation. 

This experience offered different artistic perspectives to the people passing through the beach of Le Havre and in front of this first row of cabins.

The second act of this residency consisted in an installation/exhibition. 

A research on gestures of collection and the history of the past trade of pebbles on this specific French coast unfolded inside the small space. 

Through drawings on tracing paper and cardboard, baskets and pebbles accompanied by a loop of the sound of waves,I attempted to interrogate the traces of this now vanished commerce. 

 

This proposal was shown during an opening event at the end of the weeklong residency.
